Today’s USA Weekend newspaper insert featured an article on Brad Pitt (“Family Guy”). In the sidebar he is quoted as saying, “Look, man, I hit the lottery. I’ve got a responsibility to spread that wealth.”
“Responsibility to spread that wealth” — antithetical to the me and only me “anti-redistributionist” Tea Party Republicans and their backers.
Beyond asking “What would Jesus do?” They should be noting was Jesus did. But that, too, is antithetical in their redefinition of Christianity. That’s why they are more appropriately described as Christianists.
