Singer is currently a social worker with Boulder County helping children and families. He noted, “One of the best ways to protect families and children is to make sure that parents have access to good jobs. I believe that small and local business have the innovation to drive our economic engine. I will make sure that Colorado takes every opportunity bring good new jobs into our state. I will work to preserve public education, and make sure that our government can be more efficient in these tough times.”
“I want to serve in the state legislature to make sure we get working families back to work.” Singer continued. “Businesses are struggling and I have seen families bear the brunt of these hard times,” said Singer.
Singer currently serves on the Longmont Planning and Zoning Commission. Previously, he served on numerous boards including the Colorado State University Drug Task Force and the Boulder Public Library.
Jonathan Singer has lived in Colorado for the last 18 years. Prior to working for Boulder County, Singer worked for the Denver Office of Economic Development to help families in need find sustainable jobs and get off of welfare. He has worked side by side with local leaders to ensure smart and viable community growth
Singer is a former chair of the Longmont Area Democrats and was a delegate to the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
